The « terroir » the secret of our success
The domain Demoiselles de Pallus is situated in Indre and Loire, in Cravant les Coteaux, close to Chinon. Way back in Roman times vines were already being cultivated in the region. The “terroir” , made up of mainly of clay limestone and gravel soil, is famous for producing excellent AOC Chinon wines giving it a characteristic depth of flavour.
The domain is predominantly planted with “old” vines which produce subtle, harmonious wines
Our two main grape varieties are Cabernet Franc (red and rose wines) and Chenin (white wine) an emblematic variety of the Loire valley.
